Message to Families

Good day Ajax HS students and families.  As we have just completed our first full week back at school, we are delighted for the return to learning.  Durham Region Public Health in partnership with Ajax HS  will be hosting a vaccination clinic for all members of the community ages 12+ and up on Monday September 20^th.  The hours of the clinic are 4:30 to 7:30 pm in the south gymnasium.  We encourage anyone who wishes to receive their first or second dose to attend. 

As you may be aware if you have dropped off or picked up your student at the school, our parking lot flow is very heavy with now more than 1200 students back full days.  Some reminders, the front loop off Bayly is strictly for accessibility and bus drop off/pick up.  Kiss and ride drivers must use the West entrance to the school lot, exiting on the east side driveway.  Cars are not permitted to stop in either laneway or in the public transit stop off Bayly Street.  Please consider dropping off and picking up your student off site (i.e. Burcher street, community plaza, Esso gas station) to help alleviate the congestion and time to exit the parking lot. 

Many students patron the food businesses and stores in our community.  We have a great partnership with our businesses and wish to maintain these relationships.  Starting September  22, any student who wishes to dine in at a restaurant during lunch, will need to show proof of vaccination (using the vaccine passport).  Students will be refused dine in service if they cannot provide proof of vaccination.
